Growth against all odds. What is Fair Trade?

Fair trade is a consumer buying alternative to regular buying practices. By buying Fair Trade products, you are providing the workers in developing nations who produce most of our products with a living wage, opportunity and ethical and humane treatment.

Without Fair Trade, these workers, who are so often overlooked, work for pennies, in inhuman conditions, for 16 hours a day, in countries where “minimum wage” is unheard of. Fair Trade eliminates these negative practices.

HandtoHand offers Certified and Accredited Fair Trade products from producers who are governed by third party organizations. These organizations ensure all Fair Trade products are produced with sweat-shop-free working conditions, that no child labour is used, and that producers practice ethical treatment of workers from providing living wages to limiting the number of hours they work in a day.

All our products are Fair Trade Certified/Accredited
